I sleep naked with you
and awake so pleased
to see the white,
snow-covered lake
of my skin,
free of clothes
lines
and run my fingers
down
to where you bravely launch
your craft.
have you ever launched a small boat from shore? have you ever stood ankle deep in shallow water to do this? this poem feels like this. but i have to tell you, i didn't even need the poem. the title was enough.
ReplyDeleteimagine that, giving us the title only and asking us to tell YOU what your poem is.

whew...this is hot...few words but powerful effect...and love how you go from the dreamy, tender start to...well..smiles
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed this, really I am. (Have gotten a bit buried.) Love the play on words of clothes ... lines. And the way two become one, the self and the other co-mingled.
ReplyDeleteLove this, it's so delicate and playful and lovely.
